Seven Ten

IMG_5222

And so the cycle of life continues, and the beginning of a new chapter in my life. I am in disbelief as to how quickly the last year went by and I can definitely say twenty four was a big year for me.  As young as I am there is something quite fearful about aging, which has mostly been drilled into my brain through society’s norms and illusions. But what really gets me is the fact that every year I turn another year older and I don’t feel much different from the last. The subtle changes are barely noticable, however, being twenty five feels incredibly different from being nineteen, I can see and feel those differences in retrospect.  And as I become older, I hold more appreciation for the little things and the important things in life.

I woke up yesterday and I was twenty five. I can vividly remember many memories as if they happened yesterday which makes the process feel both insanely fast and surpisingly slow.  I like this year so far, I have a lot to learn and much to  experience.  Plus when you add two plus five it equals seven.  Lucky number seven.

One of my favorite things to do, especially after a long day at work, is to go on a walk. My two favorite four-legged friends (Bronco and Baley) love to come with me and explore.  I think they loved it more than I did since the field had just been cut and baled for hay, it felt like new territory to them.

I’ve been on a hiatus from blogging, but I wanted to share what I had been up to in the last month.  I was fortunate to be able to take some time off and explore. I had amazing company and experiences I will never forget.

Some places I was able to see and experience…

Lake Tahoe, NV

Berkeley Rose Garden, Berkeley, CA

Muir Woods National Monument, CA

Pacific Coast and Highway 1, CA

San Francisco, CA

Give me fringe and watch me twirl.

It was beautiful today, and my spirits were high.  I may be wearing black but the way this shawl dances when I move makes it feel bright.

Sunday Brunch

Sunday Brunch

When I lived in New York City, one of my favorite activities was having Sunday brunch with my friends. There’s nothing like having a good laugh with people you love over a couple mimosas. When I think of brunch I like to dress casual but play it up with some stylish flats and a fun cross body. It’s also ideal to layer with spring finally arriving in New York, because the morning can still be brisk but the sun comes out full swing by the afternoon just in time to shop.

1+1=1

Welcome to Love It Madly! I have always wanted to write a blog but never set aside the time or really had a focus on what I would blog about.  This past year has been my first year living as an adult and let me just say it has been quite a journey.  Being in my early twenties is tough, but I know this is the beginning of a beautiful chapter of my life.  I’m from a small town in upstate New York and run a private farm. I went away to school in New York City where I developed my underlying love for fashion and anything creative.  While my first love is the equine world, I have found myself head over heels for the city and its abundance of life and art. I feel as though I have two separate worlds and it has been a struggle to piece the two together.  I have years of riding horses, training them and competing under my belt and although I left that for a little while (but never really did) I am bringing that back into my life as a primary focus.  I want to share that with the world and whoever my readers are, but also introduce the side of me that loves fashion and style.  Follow me as I photograph my life and what I wear.  This isn’t your normal fashion blog, this is going to be country girl meets the city but I want to be honest and real.  I hope you enjoy and here are some of my beloved animals who truly make my life complete.
